Speech-Language Pathologists and their patients come first.
We started Fledge because the business side of a private practice takes far more time and effort than it should. We built it specifically for Speech-Language Pathologists.
The people building Fledge.
Courtney is a Speech-Language Pathologist starting her own private practice and seeing her first clients. She has more than ten years of pediatric experience at Kennedy Krieger, a children's hospital in Baltimore. Her practice focuses on pediatric autism, with a specialty in language support, augmentative and alternative communication, and vocational communication for teenagers aging out of school-based services.
Matthew is a software engineer building Fledge. He worked at Square for nearly five years building tools for small businesses, a problem set he's been drawn to for years. He lost his voice at one point and got it back by working with an SLP. He has volunteered for 8+ years at a public school, where he sees firsthand how many kids are waiting on services.
Christian is an advisor to Fledge. He has spent his career in sales. He is the president of Panda Exteriors, a home-improvement business he helped grow from four million to seventeen million in annual revenue. He had speech therapy himself as a kid, and has watched his wife Courtney navigate the field for years.
